What is Elo?
Elo is a hyper-local marketplace app that instantly connects you with friendly helpers ("Elos") for everyday tasks — from errands to photography and creative work. Think of it as the fastest way to get help in London, anytime.
Is it free to sign up?
Yes. Creating an account is completely free. You only pay when a task is confirmed and completed.
What kinds of tasks can I post?
Elo covers a wide range of everyday categories including: Basic Admin (bookings, scheduling), Errands (pickups, drop-offs, postal services), Creative (shoot assistance, retouching, lighting), Photography (photoshoots, content creation, editing), and Stand in Line. More categories are on the way.
Where is Elo available?
Elo is currently live in west and central London. We're expanding — check the app for the latest coverage area.
How do I book an Elo?
Select your task category, set your location, describe what you need, then browse available Elos nearby. View their profiles, reviews, and hourly rates, then send a request to your preferred Elo. Once they accept, a payment hold is placed on your card and they'll be on their way.
How quickly can I get help?
Very fast. Active Elos are pinged within a set radius the moment you send a request. Response times are benchmarked against Uber's wait times — typically minutes, not hours.
Can I choose which Elo I work with?
Yes. You browse a list of available Elos who match your task category and location, view their profiles, specialties, and ratings, and send a request directly to the one you prefer. If your request isn't accepted within an hour, our team will matchmake you with the best available Elo to make sure your task gets done.
What happens when the Elo arrives?
The job timer starts automatically when your Elo arrives and hits the start task button. The clock runs until the task is marked complete.
How is pricing determined?
Each Elo sets their own hourly rate, which is displayed on their profile before you request. You know exactly what you'll pay before confirming.
What fees do I pay?
You pay the Elo's hourly rate for the time worked, plus a platform service fee. There are no hidden charges.
When does payment get taken?
A hold is placed on your card when the Elo accepts your request. The full job amount is only charged once the task is complete and you've reviewed the work.
Can I tip my Elo?
Yes. After task completion you can add a tip directly in the app. 100% of your tip goes to your Elo.
What payment methods are accepted?
Major credit and debit cards. All payments are processed securely through the app. Cash or off-platform payments are not permitted.
What if I need my Elo to do a shopping task and need to reimburse them?
Call ahead and pay remotely via a payment link or over the phone. Alternatively, most stores allow online ordering — an invoice number can be provided to your Elo so they can collect your order on arrival.

How are Elos vetted?
All Elos go through a verification process by our team before being activated on the platform. You can view their profile, specialties, ratings, and reviews from previous jobs before requesting.
What safety features does elo have?
All payments are held securely until you're satisfied. Communication stays on-platform. Two-way ratings keep both sides accountable, and our team prioritises fast response times for any issues — the number one complaint about our competitors.
What if something goes wrong?
Contact our support team through the app. We prioritise quick dispute resolution and will mediate between you and your Elo.
What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel before an Elo accepts your request at no cost. If you cancel after acceptance, a cancellation fee may apply.
What if my Elo doesn't show up?
If your Elo fails to arrive, contact support and no cancellation fee will be charged to you. We'll help you rebook with another available Elo.
What if I'm unhappy with the work?
Raise it with support before releasing final payment. We'll mediate and work toward a fair resolution.
